Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Safia.

Safia is a mobile safety application that helps people stay informed and protected by displaying real-time incident reports around them. The app shows what is happening in your vicinity and lets you instantly share alerts with the community, helping everyone move more safely.

Safia is powered by its community. Users can report incidents in just a few seconds, and people nearby immediately receive notifications. The system automatically groups similar reports, filters duplicates, and analyzes patterns to ensure clarity and reduce noise on the map.

Each report is timestamped, location-verified, and grouped within a 30-meter radius. Reports gain credibility through community confirmations, reputation scoring, and automated checks. Suspicious or inconsistent reports are flagged or removed to maintain accuracy and reliability.

Safia is designed with privacy as a core principle. Users remain fully anonymous in the community, and personal identities are never shown. Only essential location data is collected and stored securely, following strict data-protection standards.

Safia is available in most regions worldwide except Russia, Asia, Alaska (US), Oceania, and Australia. The platform is built to scale and will gradually expand to additional countries in the future.

Safia is neutral, transparent, and community-driven. Reports are validated through multiple user confirmations, automated clustering, and credibility checks. The platform is not influenced by political entities or commercial interests.

Alerts are delivered instantly. As soon as a report is submitted, Safia sends a push notification to nearby users based on their last known position. An active internet connection is required to receive the notification.

Yes. Your personal identity is never displayed to other users. Creating a basic account is required only to earn points, access personalized alerts, and prevent misuse. Your privacy remains fully protected.

Safia uses report clustering, automated detection, community voting, and user reputation levels to limit spam, fake alerts, and harmful behavior. Low-credibility reports lose visibility, and repeated offenders may lose points or access.

WhatsApp and Facebook groups rely on unstructured text messages. Safia uses geolocation, incident categories, real-time maps, clustering, and community validation to deliver structured, precise, and trustworthy safety information.

Safia highlights nearby incidents to help users avoid dangerous areas. Full safe-routing features are part of the product roadmap and will be introduced in future releases.

Safia automatically attaches precise GPS coordinates to each report. Incident locations are grouped within a 30-meter radius and compared across multiple users to ensure consistent and reliable positioning.

Yes. Reports expire depending on their type. Short-term incidents fade quickly, while long-term structural issues such as damaged roads may remain visible until resolved.

Not yet. Media attachments are planned for future updates. Users will eventually be able to upload photos and videos, all of which will be securely stored and automatically moderated.

Safia allows you to continue reporting incidents even without a connection. Reports are stored locally and automatically transmitted once the network is restored, ensuring no information is lost.

Yes. Safia supports English, French, Swahili, Lingala, and additional languages depending on the region. More languages will be added in upcoming updates.

Use the app regularly, report incidents, confirm existing reports, share feedback, and invite others to join. Safia becomes more accurate and valuable as more people participate actively.
